With a background in teaching in playschools for 15 years, I’ve had the joy and privilege of working closely with young children during the most formative years of their lives. Those years of experience not only deepened my understanding of early childhood education but also fueled a dream—to create a space where learning is filled with joy, discovery, and warmth. As both an entrepreneur and a parent, I believe the foundation of a child’s life is built in their earliest years. I envisioned a place where children are not only cared for but also nurtured, inspired, and encouraged to explore their world with curiosity and confidence. I wanted to create an environment that feels like a second home—where learning is joyful, play is purposeful, and every child is seen, heard, and celebrated. With a strong commitment to excellence, I embarked on this journey to build a playschool that blends modern teaching methodologies with traditional values. Our goal is to provide a safe, stimulating, and loving atmosphere where children can thrive emotionally, socially, and intellectually. Kolathur Little Scholars is more than just a school—it is a community. A place where parents, teachers, and children grow together, laying down the building blocks for a lifelong love of learning.
At little scholars we focus on providing Montessori and CBSE curriculum. we are committed to fostering curiosity, creativity and confidence in every child. Sessions: Monday – Friday
Children learn everyday skills like dressing, setting tables, and cleaning, fostering independence, concentration, and a sense of responsibility. These activities, often found in Montessori classrooms, are designed to be meaningful and engaging for young learners.
Sensory play is a type of play activity that stimulates the children's senses. Most often, sensory play is done in a large container called a sensory bin. These containers allow children to explore space, measurement, and texture among other things in a contained environment.
Mathematics focuses on foundational math skills like counting, recognizing numbers, shapes, sorting, and patterns, all through engaging, hands-on activities that foster problem-solving and critical thinking
Language development is crucial, laying the foundation for future learning and communication, and involves children learning to express themselves, understand others, and develop vocabulary and grammar skills through play, interaction, and structured activities
